Take on a vital role as a Custodian at WDM Saskatoon, maintaining museum cleanliness and ensuring exhibit safety. This position is central to preserving the museum's workplace.
In this Custodial Support role, you will report to the Facility & Grounds Supervisor and ensure that museum facilities, galleries, and grounds are kept to the highest cleanliness standards. You will handle various cleaning duties, document maintenance requirements, and respond swiftly to urgent situations. Your interaction with the exhibits is crucial for safeguarding the collection during cleaning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute routine cleaning tasks in all museum spaces
• Protect gallery artifacts during maintenance




• Maintain records of daily cleaning and issues
• Respond quickly to emergency cleanup requests
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and make requisitions
Requirements:
• Minimum education of grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience in janitorial roles required
• Museum or gallery work background is beneficial
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
