What You'll Do
- Develop and optimize AI/ML algorithms for biological and multi-omics data
- Analyze and interpret NGS datasets, including alignment, variant calling, and annotation
- Build predictive models for diagnostics, biomarker discovery, disease detection, and treatment response
- Develop bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and computational workflows
- Integrate diverse biological data sources and collaborate with multidisciplinary scientific teams
What You'll Bring
PhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, AI/ML, Statistics, or a related field
Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and statistical methods applied to biological data
Robust programming skills in Python and/or R,
with experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or
Deep understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and bioinformatics
Experience with NGS alignment tools such as Bowtie2, BWA-MEM, Minimap2, STAR, and
HISAT2
Experience with taxonomic profiling tools such as Kraken2
C++ or Rust experience for algorithm optimization is an asset
Strong publication record or demonstrated industry contributions in AI and computational biology
