Union House by Trailway Brewing is looking for a Cook to join our team.

Pay starts at New Brunswick Minimum Wage plus Tip Share. Increases based on experience and qualifications available.

Position Requirements:
Previous experience in food service
Valid Food Safety Certification
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced workplace
Availability on Monday and Tuesdays, with some other schedule flexibility

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of food according to established recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, surfaces, and storage areas
Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including maintaining all temperature and sanitation logs
Assist in opening and closing procedures following the standard operating procedures checklists
Collaborate with other staff and Management to ensure a positive customer service experience,



delivering food to seated customers
Help to develop food specials based on trends and seasonality.
Ensure proper stock of food prep and materials by completing inventory and stock lists.

Skills, Abilities, & Personal Characteristics:
Knowledge of food safety regulations and cooking techniques
Organized and effective
Must be able to work independently
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Flexibility to handle varying business levels and unexpected situations
Must be able to work standing for long periods in a hot and small space.

Job Type: Part time

Pay: From $15.90 per hour
