Position Overview

Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform the duties and responsibilities as required on the specified aircraft.

- Adhere to all safety regulations as per company requirements, Transport Canada, CARs, etc.

- Other related duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot.

Schedule

- This position will be on a 24 hour notice basis.

- The pilot will be on days off until required to report for duty.

- When a trip is planned, the crew scheduler will send the trip brief 24 hours or more in advance of the trip.

- Pilots may choose to accept a trip with less than 24 hours notice in which case they will be entitled to additional “call out” pay.





- The pilot is expected to check their mobile phone or email for trip briefs at least once every 24 hours.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

- Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), a valid Instrument and Type rating (if required), and hold a PPC and currency for an aeroplane in the aircraft grouping responsible for.

- 3,200 hours Total Time

- 1,700 hours PIC

- 2,000 hours Multi-Engine

- 1,450 hours Multi PIC

- 200 hours Jet

- Preference will be given to candidates with time on type.

- Excellent customer service abilities

- Good decision making and problem‑solving abilities

- Good organizational and time management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.
