An exceptional opportunity is available for aComprehensive Ophthalmologist to join an established and thriving private ophthalmology clinic in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will receive a guaranteed annual income of$500,000, along with a $50,000 signing and relocation allowancein exchange for a minimum two-year service commitment.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced ophthalmologist seeking a stable,high-volume practice or a recent graduate looking to quickly establish a busymedical and surgical practice without the financial pressures associated withbuilding a clinic from the ground up.

Prince Albert is a regional referral centre for central and northern Saskatchewan,providing access to a broad and established patient population. The incomingophthalmologist will benefit from an active patient base and strong referralrelationships with local optometrists, primary care providers, and other healthcareprofessionals.

The clinic offers fully equipped examination lanes, advanced diagnostic technology,an integrated electronic medical record system, and experienced support staff topromote efficient patient flow and allow the successful candidate to begin buildingtheir practice immediately.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmic care, includingcataract surgery, glaucoma management, medical retina services, and minorophthalmic procedures.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and provide follow-up care for patients with a broadrange of ophthalmic conditions.
- Collaborate with local optometrists, primary care providers, and otherhealthcare professionals to support coordinated regional patient care.
- Participate in the regional specialist on-call rotation at Victoria Hospital.

Clinic and Surgical Infrastructure

- Turnkey clinic environment: Up-to-date examination lanes, a fullyintegrated electronic medical record system, and a comprehensive diagnosticsuite.




- Advanced diagnostic technology: Equipment includes opticalcoherence tomography (OCT), visual field testing, biometry, and fundus imaging.
- Operating room access: Two surgical days per week are availableat Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert.
- Experienced surgical support: Dedicated local operating roomteams help support efficient and well-coordinated surgical days.

Compensation and Incentives

- Guaranteed annual income: $500,000.
- Signing and relocation allowance: $50,000 provided inconnection with a minimum two-year service commitment.
- Provincial recruitment and retention incentives: Prince Albertmay qualify as an eligible community under the saskdocs Rural PhysicianIncentive Program – Regional Expansion, which offers eligible physicians upto $100,000 over five years.
- The successful candidate may also be eligible for applicable annualSaskatchewan Medical Association specialist programs.

Eligibility for recruitment, relocation, and retention incentives is subject to therequirements, approvals, and terms of the applicable program.

Job Qualifications

- Hold or be eligible for licensure with theCollege of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
- Hold or be eligible for certification in Ophthalmology from theRoyal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Demonstrate the clinical knowledge, surgical skills, and professionalcompetencies required to provide comprehensive ophthalmic care.
- Be committed to collaborative, patient-centred care and effective workingrelationships with regional healthcare partners.
