Join AMD as a Physical Design Engineer and influence future technologies from Markham or Vancouver. Work in a hybrid mode driving cutting-edge microprocessor developments with skilled engineering teams. In this role, you will be part of the DXIO FEINT/Implementation group at AMD, focusing on the complete physical design flow for sophisticated microprocessor IP.
Your responsibilities will include synthesis, timing closure, and managing complex designs over 2GHz, all aimed at achieving optimal performance, power, and area (PPA). This is a unique prospect for engineers eager to make a measurable impact in a challenging environment. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee synthesis, floor planning, and clock tree synthesis
Implement high-speed designs with complex I/O protocols
Coordinate implementations and timing closure processes
Develop and refine implementation scripts for global projects
Collaborate with RTL engineers for integrated design workflows Requirements:
Industry experience in high-frequency designs (≥2GHz)
Expertise in CDC, PTPX, and physical design flows
Familiarity with Tcl and Python for design scripts
B.E. or M.E. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Experience in ASIC design and related methodologies Utilize your expertise to propel AMD’s cutting-edge solutions and redefine technology in this impactful role.
