Part-Time Prep / Production Cook

Chef Derek Powers is looking for an experienced, reliable Prep/Production Cook to join his team at the CookUnity production kitchen in North York.

This is a high-volume production kitchen — we’re looking for someone who is organized, fast, clean and comfortable preparing food at scale.

What we’re looking for
Robust knife and prep skills
Qualified kitchen experience
Ability to follow recipes, weights and production specifications accurately
Comfortable with batch cooking and high-volume production
Strong organization and sanitation habits
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Positive attitude and works well within a small team

Experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset, but not required. Strong fundamentals, reliability and willingness to learn are more important.





Schedule: Part time, approximately 2–3 days per week to start, with additional hours available during upcoming staff vacation coverage.

Pay: $20–$23/hour, depending on experience.

Location: North York, near Yorkdale.
