Licensed Practical Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support Emergency Room (ER) departments in acute-care healthcare settings. The LPN will provide timely, safe, and patient-centered care to individuals presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in patient condition.
- Assist with emergency procedures, treatments, and clinical interventions under the direction of RNs and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Perform wound care, IV-related procedures, specimen collection, and other nursing duties as permitted.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency department protocols.
- Provide compassionate patient and family support during urgent and stressful situations.

Qualifications:

- Current and valid LPN license in the applicable province or jurisdiction.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Recent Emergency Room/ED experience preferred.




- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
- Current BLS/CPR certification as required.
- Ability to work adaptable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
