About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Hygiene and Sanitation Officer to ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and safety across their various sites in and around Kimberley . This role is crucial for maintaining public health, regulatory compliance, and the overall reputation of the organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene protocols, conducting regular inspections, and providing training to staff. This hybrid position allows for strategic planning and analysis from a remote location, complemented by essential on-site assessments and team coordination, fostering a proactive approach to hygiene management.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Train staff on proper hygiene practices, chemical handling, and sanitation techniques.
- Monitor the effectiveness of cleaning programs and recommend improvements.




- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure appropriate use of disinfectants and sanitizers.
- Investigate and report on any hygiene-related incidents or concerns.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hygiene or sanitation role, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Solid knowledge of hygiene principles, food safety (if applicable), and public health regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in conducting inspections and developing corrective action plans.
- Effective communication and training abilities.
