Shape land use policy as a Planner III for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, focusing on municipal planning compliance. Work collaboratively in shaping regional strategies. This position reports to the Manager of Land Use Planning and requires a degree in Land Use Planning, along with MCIP eligibility.

Your role includes reviewing planning documents, preparing technical reports, and providing training for effective municipal plan implementation across various jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and recommend on land use referrals from departments
- Research and write land use policy statements
- Respond to municipal planning inquiries and requests
- Prepare in-depth technical reports on planning topics
- Conduct training sessions on municipal planning processes Requirements:
- Degree in Land Use Planning or equivalent experience
- Eligible for Canadian Institute of Planners membership
- Background in urban and rural planning
- Familiarity with provincial planning operations
