Stantec is seeking a Lead Archaeologist for upcoming fieldwork based in Hamilton, Ontario. Drive archaeological assessments and ensure high standards of quality and safety. As an Archaeology Field Supervisor, you will lead a team to conduct essential field assessments while applying expert knowledge of archaeological practices.

Your role is integral to preserving Ontario’s heritage and ensuring compliance with the Ministry’s guidelines. Focus on building relationships with Indigenous communities and mentoring technical staff throughout the field season. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and organize archaeological fieldwork across Ontario
- Supervise field technicians and ensure data quality
- Maintain compliance with MCM reporting standards




- Collaborate with senior team members for project success
- Document findings with precision using maps and reports Requirements:
- BA/B.Sc. in archaeology or a relevant degree
- At least one year in a supervisory archaeology role
- Knowledge of field methodologies and safety protocols
- Experience with total stations and digital mapping
