Holtvogt Sand & Gravel Ltd. is a family-run aggregate and groundwork contractor based in Humboldt, in business for over fifty years. Excavation, grading, hauling, site preparation, aggregate, and onsite wastewater systems for farms, acreages, and municipal and commercial customers.

The job

We are looking for a Lead Operator to run the excavator on water, sewer and earthwork jobs, and to lead the crew on site. This is a hands‑on seat: you dig, you grade, you read the stakes, and you keep the job secure and moving.

What you will do

- Run the excavator on water and sewer, excavation, grading and site prep

- Read site plans, grade stakes and specs, and hit grade

- Lead the crew and coordinate equipment on site, day to day

- Enforce company safety policy and Saskatchewan OH&S;





- Keep daily site reports and production tracking

- Look after the equipment and the site

What we need

- 3 to 5 years running an excavator on earthworks, excavation or aggregate work

- Experience on water and sewer installs

- Valid Class 1A licence

- Able to read blueprints and grade stakes

- Previous lead or supervisory experience

- Local to the Humboldt area, or ready to be here year‑round
