About the Role
We are seeking a Tech 2, Bakery- Maintenanceto join our team at our Brantford,
ON bakery. As a Tech 2, Bakery-Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing manufacturing equipment in a state-of-the-art food production facility. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, supporting safe and efficient operations, and ensuring equipment reliability through preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Rotating 12-hr Continental Shift ( Biweekly rotation between Mornings and Nights)
- Hours: 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM / 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $47.60 CAD plus applicable shift premiums $1.20 for nights and $2 for weekends
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, control systems, and automation systems to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
- Install, modify, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
- Support safe operations by following all safety, quality, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations effectively.
- Maintain facility assets, utilities, and non-production equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Industrial Millwright Certification (433A) with proof of certification.
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check (or have received a pardon).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and frequency drives.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace.
