Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: The maintenance technician is a key member of the CADC team. This position comes with varying job duties and locations each day. Interacting with tenants and ensuring they are looked after is key. You will respond to the needs of our tenants and work with colleagues to ensure repairs are completed fast and properly.
Responsible To: Facilities Manager
Classification: Level 11B
Responsible for: The day-to-day maintenance and repair of the many CADC buildings. This position is responsible for conducting repairs and other tasks so that all tenants can operate their business efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Investigating and resolving problems identified by tenant or facility manager requests
- Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks on multiple buildings
- Continually conducting inspections while on site to identify items in need of repair
- Repairing or replacing broken or faulty items (doors, windows, ceiling tiles, blinds, furniture)
- Repairing or replacing door hardware including locks, closers, cylinders, and specialized security hardware.
- Performing carpentry work such as installing signs, boards, TVs and mounts, cutting/filling holes, installing shelving, repairing and replacing rotten or worn-out building components, framing walls, drywall installation, seam filling, and minor roof, parapet and soffit repairs.
- Performing carpet and flooring repairs and installation.
- Painting duties as needed.
- Ability to perform a wide range of skilled tasks and backfill other maintenance positions as required to cover for vacations / illness
- Knowledge of operating various carpentry tools and machines
- After hours and weekend emergency call response will be required
- Snow removal and operation of a small tractor
- Other duties as required

2. Relationship Building
- Represent CADC while working at CADC properties
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and tenants.

3. Strategic Planning
- Lead and/or contribute to the development or response to disaster remediation plans.
- Provide project management oversight for property-related projects, including scheduling, resource usage, and monitoring progress.
4. Job Requirements (Education and Experience)
- A degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a repair or maintenance capacity.
- Experience and understanding of building systems including HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, and Plumbing.
- Experience working with hand and power tools to complete repairs.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
- Clean criminal record.
