Our client, a home care center located in Halifax, is in search of a Personal Care Assistant. You will work closely with a Charge Nurse to deliver personalized assistance based on residents' needs. Important tasks include supporting daily activities and providing vital care that enhances residents’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily tasks
• Support residents during in-house transfers
• Keep track of residents via call bells
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of rooms
• Measure and document residents' intakes and outputs
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid or CPR certification
• Completion of CCA/PCW course mandatory
• Previous experience in home care is a plus
• Alzheimer course preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
