Role Description
The Dental Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a full-time, on-site role based at our St. Catharines, ON clinic. Monday - Thursday 8:30-5:00pm and Friday from 8:00-4:00pm. The CSR will be the first point of contact for patients/caregivers, manage schedule and all referrals, answer VoIP phones, and respond to inquiries via emailnor text message in a polite, prompt, and professional manner. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, updating patient information, insurance predetermination/verification, uploading insurance breakdowns and acurately quoting subscibers for any balances owing for each appointment and coordinating with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow. The CSR will also handle billing inquiries, process payments, and assist with insurance-related questions.



This role supports a child-friendly environment by communicating clearly, maintaining confidentiality, and providing caring, efficient service to families and referring dental and medical professionals.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children and caregivers.

Experience with dental appointment scheduling, dental reception duties, and basic office administration, in a dental office setting - a must

Comfort with handling payments, basic billing processes, and insurance or benefits inquiries.

Proficiency with computer systems, practice management or scheduling software, email, and basic data entry.

Open Dental and MaxAssist experience an asset

Ability to work on-site full-time, manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment, and collaborate effectively with dental and administrative team members.

Attention to detail, reliability, and respect for patient privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Previous dental office experience, or dental administration graduate, and knowledge of dental terminology are required.
