2027 Winter Student Program-Environmental Data Entry Student Position Number 1360 Classification Term # of openings 1

Our Whiteshell location is looking for an Environmental Data Entry Student to support the Environmental Data Management System by managing and maintaining critical environmental data related to water effluent, air emissions, and soil remediation projects. What you will be doing!
Preparing data templates (EDD) for upload.
Maintaining version control and file structure.
Verifying data accuracy, completeness and consistency.
Investigating automated processes to optimize the data upload process.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:
Education Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies related to Data science, GIS, Mapping, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Science.

Experience Experience with data management languages (R, Python), GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS), and database management (EQuIS Enterprise)



is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of data management, data stewardship and integrity, metadata management, Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel), geographic information systems (GIS), and quality assurance checks.
Demonstrated solid attention to detail, a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality are highly valued.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:
Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
