A national law firm is seeking an experienced business development leader to drive its growth strategy across Canada.
Reporting to a member of the executive leadership team, the Director will focus on revenue growth, strategic markets, client development, and team leadership. This hands-on role requires strategic thinking, executive presence, and a robust understanding of relationship-based business development.
Responsibilities Develop and implement the firm’s national business development strategy
Identify market trends, growth opportunities, and priority sectors
Work with partners and practice group leaders to strengthen client relationships and identify cross-practice opportunities
Lead proposals, pitches, and presentations for key clients and prospective business
Monitor performance metrics and provide strategic market intelligence
Represent the firm at industry and networking events

and support the business development team
Establish effective processes that deliver measurable results
Requirements At least ten years of business development experience, preferably in legal or professional services
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA considered an asset
Proven success in revenue growth and senior-level client development
Strong leadership and team management experience
Strategic, analytical, and results-oriented mindset
Excellent executive communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational skills and sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
