Our partner is looking for a Engineering Manager based in Canada.

This is a people-focused engineering leadership role within a fast-growing fintech environment serving the e-commerce industry.
You will lead a fully distributed team of 6–8 mid-to-senior engineers across in-house and nearshore locations.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will help increase organizational capacity while strengthening engineering execution and team development.
The team is modernizing a legacy PHP product into a contemporary Ruby on Rails platform using Ruby 4 and Rails 8.
Your focus will be approximately 80% people and process, with opportunities to contribute technically through reviews, architecture, mentoring, and solution evaluation.
You will also play a key role in hiring, project communication, delivery practices, and creating an workplace where engineers can do their best work.
The role offers significant ownership and flexibility within a fully remote, distributed engineering organization.
