Join Wing Kei in Calgary as a Recreational Assistant, available in part time and full time roles. Engage in therapeutic recreation to uplift residents’ quality of life and well-being.

The Recreational Assistant will collaborate with the Recreational Therapist to plan and implement engaging programs that focus on enhancing residents' functional abilities and promoting social interactions. Emphasis will be placed on running both group and individual activities where nurturing a supportive environment aligns with Wing Kei’s Person and Family Centred Care framework is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Wing Kei’s mission and vision in activities
• Encourage development of recreational pursuits among residents
• Organize and facilitate individual and group activities




• Maintain equipment and supplies for recreation programs
• Record data related to residents’ participation and progress

Requirements:
• Completed Therapy Assistant Program or equivalent experience
• Resourceful with a robust interest in leisure activities
• Effective communication skills to motivate residents
• Ability to assist with transfers and equipment movement
• Experience in supportive living settings preferred
