About the Role Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Manager of Community Group Care provides strategic and operational leadership for Marymound’s 24-hour community-based group care programs.
You will lead and develop Program Coordinators, strengthen program quality, and create the conditions for children and youth to experience safe, stable, and welcoming living environments where relationships, belonging, identity, and connections to family and community are valued.
Working with employees, families, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, Indigenous communities and service partners, you will help strengthen culturally grounded practice while ensuring high-quality, accountable and responsive services.
How You’ll Make an Impact As Manager of Community Group Care, you will:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Community Group Care.
Lead, coach and mentor Program Coordinators and build strong, accountable and collaborative teams.
Strengthen culturally grounded, relationship-centred services that reflect Indigenous approaches and ways of knowing, being and doing.
Create conditions where children and youth experience dignity, belonging and meaningful relationships and are supported to strengthen connections to family, community, culture and identity.
Ensure program quality, licensing compliance, operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Build respectful relationships with children, youth, families, Indigenous communities, Child and Family Services agencies and community partners.
Provide responsible stewardship of financial, physical and human resources and leadership during complex operational situations.

We’re looking for a collaborative, values-driven leader who brings:
A degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Indigenous Studies, Public Administration or a related human services discipline is preferred. A combination of education, professional experience, lived experience, cultural knowledge and community-based learning may be considered.
Progressive leadership experience supporting children, youth and families within residential care, child welfare, community-based services, Indigenous services or other complex human service environments.
Experience leading, coaching and developing employees and leaders.
Knowledge of relationship-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, healing-centred, culturally grounded and restorative approaches.
Understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, worldviews and contemporary realities and the impacts of colonial systems on Indigenous children, families and communities.
Experience with program operations, quality improvement, regulatory requirements, workforce planning and resource management.
Strong communication, relationship-building, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
A leadership approach grounded in integrity, accountability, cultural humility, sound judgement and continuous learning.
