Job Title Jr. Cashier

Wage $23.70 - $25.64 hourly (2026)

Reports To Supervisor, Recreation Complex

Department Community Services

Location Lindsay, ON

Hours Part time up to 24 hours per week

Other Varied shifts: day, afternoon, evening and weekend hours

Job Description

Prepare and balance daily bank deposits and daily revenue reports

Provide administrative support to Recreation Complex supervisory staff

Provide reception and cashier services for rentals, aquatics, fitness, squash and arena functions

Provide exceptional customer service to all facility users via telephone, e-mail and in person

Prepare paperwork for membership transactions/data entry and participates in the promotion of recreation programs

Provide information in response to requests on available programs and services





Establish and maintains a positive and welcoming image and setting for the public and staff

Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills/Education Required

Experience in a front line clerical position; ability to multi taskwhile serving the public

Demonstrated cash handling skills

Demonstrated time-management skills; ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines effectively, with minimal supervision; deal with multiple demands

Outstanding customer-service skills with demonstrated ability to "make a difference" in a customer's day

Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff

Demonstrated ability to function positively in team oriented situations

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and any other related software

Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required
