Mental Health Technician Position Details

Facility: St. Jospeh Main

Location: Tampa, FL

Status: Full time, Hourly

Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

Required




Certification/Licensures

BLS (Basic Life Support)

CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred

Patient Care Technician - preferred

Education

High School or Equivalent

Associate's degree in related field -

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field-

Experience

6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
