Support child development as a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant in the Early Childhood, School Age and Adolescent Program (ECSAAP) based in London. This full time position focuses on facilitating inclusive recreational activities.

The role starts immediately, extending until January 2028, involving travel across Middlesex, Elgin, and Oxford counties. You will assist in planning and evaluating therapeutic recreation interventions alongside Recreation Therapists, ensuring engaging experiences for clients and families. Evening and weekend availability will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist TRs in therapeutic planning and evaluations
• Facilitate individual/group TR interventions
• Support family engagement and community events




• Provide guidance in the Adapted Fitness Centre
• Lead volunteer orientation and management

Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreation Therapy or equivalent
• Lifeguard certification preferred; CPR certification needed
• Knowledge of childhood disabilities essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Access to a vehicle with a valid Ontario driver’s license
