Project Managers - Power Transformers - Edmonton, AB - Willing to Train

IGB Technologies Inc. is seeking Project Managers to oversee power transformer projects from RFQ through engineering, manufacturing, testing, shipment, delivery, and closeout. The role coordinates Canadian customers with overseas transformer manufacturers while managing schedules, technical documentation, costs, risks, and commercial issues. It offers an chance to build specialized power transformer expertise. Ideal candidates bring an electrical background, project management experience, strong organization, and excellent communication skills.

What you’ll need:

- Electrical background through education and/or relevant industry experience
- At least 3 years of project management or project coordination experience
- PMP, CAPM, or another recognized project management certification
- Ability to review and understand technical specifications, drawings, vendor proposals,



schedules, contracts, and commercial documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with customers, engineers, suppliers, contractors, senior management, and overseas manufacturers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability for regular calls and meetings outside typical business hours due to South Korean manufacturing partners

What will make you stand out:

- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience managing technical, manufacturing, construction, electrical, utility, or industrial projects
- Power transformer, substation, electrical utility, or medium- and high-voltage equipment experience
- Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software experience
- QuickBooks experience
- CRM software experience
