We make bedtime matter!
My Sleepy Tale is an audio-first platform where kids explore their culture, learn real values, and build their own stories. 200+ stories. 11 cultural traditions. 9 languages. Free. No app needed. And we're just getting started.
What We're Building
? Product 1 — Audio Stories
Culturally rich, age-appropriate audiobooks that actually sound like home. Our Voice Clone feature lets grandma, grandpa, or a travelling parent record their voice once — and read every story, every night, no matter where they are in the world.
✏️ Product 2 — Kids Create
Kids don't just listen — they build their own stories from imagination. Our platform categorises and classifies what they create, giving parents a window into their child's interests, strengths, and growth areas. It turns creativity into a learning map.
Your job is to make sure more families find both of these.
What You'll Do
Editorial & Publishing
- Review stories and articles before they go live — tone, clarity, cultural accuracy, age-appropriateness, kids-safe language
- Research, understand and implement - compliance and policies for kids audio books.
- Flag sensitive cultural or faith content to the founder before anything publishes
- Manage the content calendar so the pipeline never stalls
- Keep quality high across both product areas — audio stories and kids-created content
Marketing & PR
- Publish 5 external articles per week in parenting blogs, media outlets, and Vancouver publications
- Pitch stories that connect — Voice Clone for travelling parents, Kids Create for educators, cultural stories for diaspora families
- Build 3 quality backlinks per week to mysleepytale.com
- Track every piece of coverage in one clean running log
Community Outreach — Vancouver
- Get out and talk to people: parent groups, school libraries, multicultural organisations, community centres
- Run 3 coffee chats a week — real conversations,
not sales pitches
- Turn what you hear into a weekly feedback note that actually shapes what we build next
- Show up to 1 in-person business meeting per week to grow local partnerships
Reporting — Every Friday A short update: articles published → backlinks earned → coffee chats done → business meeting recap → how your week moved our numbers → what's blocking you and what's a good idea. You're a Great Fit If You...
- Write clearly and confidently — no fluff, no jargon
- Love kids, culture, storytelling, or education (or all four)
- Can walk into a school library and strike up a real conversation
- Track your own work without needing reminders
- Live in or can move around Vancouver for in-person outreach
- Bonus: journalism, communications, or education background — or you speak more than one language
