The University Health Network is recruiting a Veterinary Technician for its dynamic Animal Resource Centre. This full time position involves ensuring the health and welfare of laboratory animals while performing a variety of husbandry tasks, including colony management and daily inspections. You'll interact closely with vets and researchers, providing essential support in a research-driven atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee animal husbandry and welfare for diverse species
• Administer drugs in accordance with instructions
• Maintain cleanliness in animal housing areas




• Carry out necropsies and tissue sampling as needed
• Monitor and document animal health and environmental conditions

Requirements:
• Graduation from a Veterinary Technology program
• At least one year practical experience required
• Experience with large and small animals in research
• WHMIS training and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Capable of lifting and handling designated weights
