AgeCare is hiring a Recreation and Leisure Facilitator to contribute to our mission of empowering residents. This role involves developing and running recreation programs that foster creativity, purpose, and social engagement among residents. You will also be responsible for observing residents’ participation and adapting activities to meet their interests and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging recreation programs
• Create supportive environments for resident activities
• Build and maintain communications with residents and families
• Record changes in residents' participation and abilities
• Collaborate with various teams to encourage meaningful engagement
Requirements:
• Experience working with seniors in long-term care settings
• Post-secondary qualification in recreation or health-related field
• Skills in planning and facilitating therapeutic activities
• Ability to document care plans effectively
• Desire to enhance the lives of residents through engagement
