The role focuses on direct support for families within the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, emphasizing culturally appropriate practices and community values. You'll guide families in understanding educational policies and develop customized attendance strategies. Your advocacy will strengthen relationships between families and education providers, ensuring a holistic approach to child welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct services and guidance to at-risk families
• Empower families with knowledge on academic expectations




• Develop individualized attendance plans collaboratively
• Liaise between families and educational institutions
• Monitor funding programs for effectiveness and feedback

Requirements:
• Social Work degree or similar qualification preferred
• At least two years of relevant experience
• In-depth understanding of local child welfare programs
• Proficient communication and advocacy skills
• Familiarity with Anishnaabemowin language is a plus
