About the Role Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Sustainability Architect to join their practice in Kimberley. This role is dedicated to integrating sustainable design principles and practices into all stages of the architectural process. You will guide project teams in achieving environmental performance goals, utilizing innovative materials, energy-efficient strategies, and passive design techniques. This position offers the chance to lead the charge in green building design within the Northern Cape region, contributing to environmentally responsible development and enhancing the firm’s commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sustainable design strategies for architectural projects.
Conduct energy analysis and lifecycle assessments to inform design decisions.
Advise project teams on green building materials, technologies, and certifications (e.g., Green Star).
Integrate passive design principles to optimize building performance and occupant comfort.
Stay current with advancements in sustainable architecture and environmental design best practices.
Requirements Professional Architect qualification or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 years of experience with a focus on sustainable design.
Experience with energy modeling software and green building rating systems.
Strong knowledge of sustainable materials, building science, and environmental regulations.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
