Your Job DarkVision is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our various software products ranging from embedded Linux to Windows desktop applications, all the way to cloud processing. This position will also work hands-on with our high-performance ultrasound hardware.
The ideal candidate will have prior software QA experience with a keen interest in developing test automation for regression testing of our desktop applications.
This role is fully on-site at our North Vancouver, BC HQ, where employees enjoy a wide array of amenities including a fully equipped gym, squash court, steam room, climbing wall, and more!




Our Team You will be joining our software and hardware engineers working on complete “full-stack” development. From embedded systems to data processing to desktop applications to 3D rendering and cloud services, the Software team at DarkVision plays a central role in everything that happens with our award-winning ultrasound imaging solutions.
What You Will Do Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
Design, write, and execute test plans during all phases of product development
Responsible for testing software of all types while logging test plan execution and bug tracking
Collect, reproduce, and clearly document issues from test results and users into a consumable state for developers
Prioritize testing activities and elevate high-risk and blocking issues as they are found
Work directly with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to invent and implement new ways to test product robustness
Participate in Agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Engineering,



or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, relevant work experience
Experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or software development through professional employment, co‑op terms, or internships
Experience creating and executing test plans and documenting defects
Experience developing, executing, or maintaining automated tests
What Will Put You Ahead 3+ years of experience in a SW QA or Testing role
Experience with multiple different development environments (bare metal, embedded OS, PC, cloud computing)
Experience with Python (or other scripting languages) and SQL
Experience with Hardware and Mechanical systems
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Meticulous attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt to recent technologies
Experience with one or more issue tracking and test management tools
Experience with C++ or AWS
General Salary Range For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 – $110,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. This role is also eligible for full benefits, competitive vacation allotment, flexible hours and work workplace, and access to our state-of-the-art facilities (on-site gym with squash court, climbing wall, steam room, and yoga studio).
