Big Country Drilling is seeking an Experienced Sonic Driller to operate drilling equipment and oversee projects in Strathmore and Fort McMurray, AB. This full time role offers career advancement opportunities.
In this position, you will play a vital role in operating drilling machinery while ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the drilling process. Your technical aptitude and strong leadership qualities are essential as you supervise operations and mentor crew members within our solid company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the operation of rotary drills and related equipment
• Monitor and document drilling progress carefully
• Conduct safety checks and maintain equipment in optimal condition
• Collaborate with teams to adhere to project plans
• Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members
Requirements:
• Preferably 2 years of driller experience in the industry
• Valid driver's license with a clean record (Class 3/1 preferred)
• In-depth understanding of safety protocols and equipment
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities in administrative tasks
