Support individuals in need at Noojmowin Teg Health Centre as a Mental Health & Addictions Counsellor in the Manitoulin Island district. Your role will focus on effective withdrawal management and integrated support services.

Reporting to the Mental Health and Addictions Program Manager, you will provide assessments, counseling, and case management to individuals facing addiction challenges. This position emphasizes collaboration with various services to create and execute effective treatment plans and promotes mental health awareness throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment strategies
• Offer individual counseling for addiction disorders
• Coordinate referrals to additional support programs




• Maintain electronic health records and documentation
• Engage in community health promotion activities

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or comparable qualification
• Registration required with Ontario College of Social Workers
• Minimum of three years in a counseling role
• Valid class “G” driver’s license and transparent record
• Successful completion of a vulnerable sector check
