Rightway Recruitment is working on behalf of a growing electrical contractor that is continuing to expand its footprint across British Columbia, including recent growth into the Vancouver Island market. The business has built a strong reputation delivering commercial, institutional, and large-scale electrical construction projects while maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

Due to continued project growth in Victoria, they are now looking to add a Project Coordinator to support ongoing electrical construction operations. Working closely alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, suppliers, and clients, this role will play a key part in coordinating projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers and Site Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination activities

Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation with a critical eye for discrepancies or coordination issues

Assist with material procurement including lighting, switchgear, commodities, and project-related equipment

Coordinate and track shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, permits, inspections, and closeout documentation

Assist with project scheduling and ensure materials and equipment arrive on site according to project timelines

Monitor backorders and communicate scheduling impacts or discrepancies to the project team

Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, field staff, clients, and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle

Assist with change orders, project reporting, billings, WIP tracking, and cost-to-complete updates

Support internal coordination between operations, accounting, HR, and project teams

Attend project meetings,



take meeting minutes, and assist with follow-up items

Help identify design issues, material concerns, or project coordination conflicts as projects progress

Maintain organized project documentation and tracking systems

Project Scope:

Commercial and institutional electrical construction projects across Vancouver Island

Exposure to field operations, office coordination, procurement, and project administration

Involvement from preconstruction through project closeout

Coordination alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams

What You Bring:

3-5 years of construction coordination, project administration, or related experience

Previous exposure to commercial electrical construction environments is strongly preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction specifications

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination workflows

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the business

Professionalism, integrity, and strong attention to detail

Full-time permanent position based in Victoria, BC
