About the Opportunity

Prepare Board of Director and Audit Committee presentations

Maintain a current knowledge base and keep abreast of developments which may impact (i.e. IFRS and Realpac)

Oversee the quarterly close process, including the maintenance of internal controls over the system and any enhancements

Maintaining internal control framework - control environment, risk assessment, control activities, communication and monitoring activities.

Ensure compliance with all related tax authorities, including HST, PST, etc.

Co-ordinate year-end audit and quarterly functions with external auditors and prepare all necessary review documents

Demonstrate leadership competencies; with focus on attainment of goals and meeting established timelines

Adhere to all government regulations policies and procedures

About You

CPA (CA) designation

Minimum of 3+ years of post-qualification experience

University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related discipline

Significant experience with external reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, notes, and consolidations Superior leadership and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to effectively communicate financial results to senior executives in a professional and confident manner

Solid analytical and problem solving skills

Extensive working knowledge of IFRS

Strong working knowledge of general ledger and reporting systems

Automotive sector and Real Estate industry experience is considered an asset

Salary Range
$110,000 - $125,000 / year
