About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer with expertise in process simulation to join their fully remote team. This role focuses on developing, validating, and utilizing advanced process models to analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes across various global operations. You will work independently, collaborating with distributed engineering and operational teams to provide data-driven insights and solutions. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated engineer who excels in a remote work environment and possesses a deep understanding of simulation tools and their application in chemical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and improve dynamic and steady-state process simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, gPROMS).
- Perform sensitivity analyses, optimization studies, and "what-if" scenarios to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Validate simulation models against plant data and ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Provide technical support and expertise to global operational and engineering teams through remote consultation.




- Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing simulation results and recommendations.
- Stay current with advancements in process simulation technology and methodologies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in process simulation and modeling.
- Expert proficiency with at least one major process simulation software package.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and unit operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Proven experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
