As part of CHEO's Inpatient Surgical Unit, your role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient-centered nursing care for families in need. Adhere to the workplace guidelines set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, all while fostering a culturally sensitive workplace that prioritizes the well-being of pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient health
• Implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Educate families to encourage optimal health outcomes
• Commit to continuous improvement in nursing practice
• Engage in self-scheduling for shift flexibility
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Hold a current CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year pediatric surgical nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated strong communication skills
• Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
