ContainerWorld located in Richmond, British Columbia is a premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; privately owned company with approximately 400 employees throughout its BC facilities.
We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company. We have a Warehouse Management System to include voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning. Our automation also includes an ERP, CRM, Truckmate, Sage, Kronos and other applications to prime us for present and future expansions. ContainerWorld actively supports Lean Six Sigma concepts. Position Overview:
This position is responsible for efficient and effective utilization of resources in their area and/or related areas/departments, with the objective to create a competitive advantage for the Company through our employees. This position works independently, taking guidance from business plans, to provide operational leadership for HR related matters. This position has considerable impact on efficient operations of own area and many other areas/department and may influence the organization’s long-term reputation and overall standing in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and apply HR Policies and process guidelines to ensure compliance and consistent practices.
Maintain total compensation and performance review program
Recommend and develop amendments to company policies
Manage the recruitment process
Manage orientation, training and development programs
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and return to work programs.
Provide guidance to department managers and staff regarding HR matters
Manage Company’s hourly union Collective Agreement to ensure compliance with terms of the agreement.
Participate in Collective Agreement planning
Provide counsel on collective agreement interpretation
Formulate guidelines for the application of progressive disciplines
Maintain relationship with the union representatives
3. Manage the HR budget to align with Company’s financial objective.
Prepare and present HR budget for financial approval
Responsible for financial performance of own area
Requirements:
Others- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP designation)
4 to 6 years related experience.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced warehouse setting
Good technical skills with warehouse management systems and MS Office tools
