Enhance Calgary's road safety as a Seasonal Highway Maintenance Worker with Volker Stevin. This full-time position offers an opportunity from October to April in a vital community service role.

In this role, you'll report to the Foreman and play an essential part in ensuring the safety of highways throughout the winter. Responsibilities include promoting safety practices, managing traffic effectively, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring all equipment is in top condition. Your contribution will be critical to safe travel during inclement weather and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Actively contribute to promoting a safe work setting
• Implement traffic control measures for roadside safety




• Complete and maintain essential operational documentation
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment
• Operate required heavy machinery accurately

Requirements:
• Valid Class 3 or 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
• Experience in snowplow operation highly valued
• Capability to work varying shifts, including nights
• Familiarity with labor laws and safety regulations
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing
