We are looking for a detail oriented, and reliable Accounts Payable Associate to join our Accounting team! Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this incumbent would be assisting with the overall accounts payable process to ensure the timely processing of vendor invoices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Match invoices to backup documents (e.g., pay orders, quotes, receipts, etc.
Communicate with vendors and trades in a professional manner
Address any invoice discrepancies with the trade/vendor and or project manager
Ensure all proper documentation has been received prior to the release of holdbacks
Reconcile vendor statements/ledgers; research and correct discrepancies
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
Assist with any inquiry by pulling copy of invoices as needed
Assist with the monthly Construction Draw Report for relevant projects by pulling and photocopying invoices and sending them to the Senior Project Accountant
Assist with the year-end audit
Ad hoc tasks as required
Key Attributions of the Position:
Able to meet strict deadlines and thrive under pressure
Able to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
Able to cope with a high volume of data entry
Detail-oriented
Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Newstar ERP software is an asset




Experience with SAP Concur would be considered a robust asset
Qualifications and Education:
·Post-secondary education
·At least 3 years’ experience in a development and construction accounts payable role
