The Birch Centre for Learning and Development Inc. is looking for a fun, engaging and dynamic team player to join our growing team as a Supervised Senior Therapist!

Responsibilities

Direct 1:1 work with clients ages 2-17 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, unique learning needs and/or developmental delays.

Provide clinical supervision and develop treatment plans for all clients, facilitate and conduct assessments and reviews of assigned clients; communicate regularly with parents; providing staff or caregiver training, feedback, and support as needed.

Facilitate assessments (ABLLS-R, AFLS, VBMAPP, FBA) for learners diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Monitor client progress and modify programs as needed

Assist in writing Individualized Service Plans and behaviour reduction plans as needed

Weekly communication with members of the client’s clinical team and families.

Robust written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with families, team members and other professionals

A strong understanding of the Principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have completed, or be in the process of completing requirements to obtain and retain BCBA/RBA certification.

A minimum of two to five years of experience in the delivery of ABA services

Ability to work independently, take initiative and to lead a team

One or more years of experience with the clinical supervision of ABA/IBI programs. Applicants must have strong knowledge and experience in the following; ABA teaching strategies, curriculum-based assessments, preference assessments, functional assessments and individualized behaviour reduction programs.

Job Types: Part-time, fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

On-site parking

Education: Master's Degree (preferred); Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (i.e. Autism and Behavioural Science, Psychology, or Bachelor of Education, etc.)
