In doing so, we remain a world-leader in horse-racing — and also among the most exciting and diverse entertainment facilities on the globe.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain railings, gates, TV hangers, doors, flag poles and grandstand seatingMaintain washrooms: repair water closets, urinals, wash basins, showers as neededSnow and ice removal including shoveling, salting and plowingRespond to emergencies such as fire and water leaksAssist outside contractors and tradesmen as requiredComplete and maintain all documents/records in a timely and accurate manner as required. This includes, work orders, log books, inspection logs, and other documents used in performance of your duties.Ensure inventory supplies are adequate and readily availableClean and maintain assigned vehicleEnsure work area and assigned tools and equipment are kept clean and tidyEnsure utility rooms and other areas, including public areas assigned, are clean and tidyComplete work in a safe and effective manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety ActEnsure that you swipe in before your shift and swipe out at the end of your shift every time.If applicable, perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, re-lamping, painting,
drywall repairs and parts pickupIf applicable, inspect and change all filters and belts on a regularly scheduled basisIf applicable, maintain, test and record all chemical treatment programs as requiredIf applicable, maintain and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipmentIf applicable, repair and maintain domestic hot and cold water systems, sanitary and irrigation systemsIf applicable, perform routine test and inspection of all emergency equipment- including diesel generator testIf applicable, maintain and repair all kitchen, concession stand and bar equipment as requiredDemonstrate and model professionalism, courtesy, consideration and respect to internal and WEG customersRespond in a timely and effective manner to unexpected and immediate needs of customersExperience/Training/Special Skills/Education RequiredMinimum grade 12 diplomaMinimum 2 years related experience in general building maintenance Valuable understanding of HVAC equipment and systemsSound mechanical knowledgeAbility to provide own basic hand toolsMust have and maintain a valid Ontario drivers licence G or G2Must have and maintain valid AGCO licenses as required.Solid understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety proceduresAble to understand, read, write and converse effectively in EnglishAvailable for shift work, weekends,
