Program Assistant I Location: Burnaby, BC - conveniently located across from Metrotown SkyTrain Station
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Assignment: October 1, 2026 to November 27, 2026 (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $34.25 per hour
About Our Client Our client is a well-established organization located in Burnaby. They are currently seeking a Program Assistant I to provide temporary administrative support to their Corporate Safety department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office workplace.
Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Corporate Safety department
Format and prepare a variety of professional documents
Ensure documents meet established formatting, layout, styling, template, and presentation standards
Provide meeting support, including booking meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
Use Microsoft Teams to coordinate and support meetings and communications
Manage multiple administrative tasks while meeting deadlines
Organize information and maintain accurate records




Provide general administrative and office support as required
Troubleshoot administrative or technical issues as they arise
Take initiative and independently follow up on assigned tasks
Qualifications Previous administrative experience in a professional office environment
Advanced Microsoft Word skills are essential, including document formatting, layouts, styles, templates, and overall presentation
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
Experience using Microsoft Teams
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines
Meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and minute-taking experience is considered an asset
Fast learner with strong technical abilities
Eligibility All applicants must have legal permission to work in Canada and be able to provide a valid Work Permit and Social Insurance Number, where applicable.
