We’re Hiring: Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer / Integration Lead

EMPRESO is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer / Integration Lead to design, build, and lead enterprise EHR/EMR integrations and healthcare interoperability solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

- Lead end-to-end EHR/EMR integration design and implementation
- Strong hands‑on experience with HL7 v2.x, FHIR R4 & SMART on FHIR
- Build/manage interfaces using Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect
- Experience with HL7 workflows: ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU & MDM
- Develop healthcare APIs using REST, Node.js, Express.js & TypeScript/JavaScript
- Data mapping, transformation, validation, normalization & troubleshooting
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT & secure API authentication




- Lead integration engineers and establish architecture/development standards

Requirements

- 10+ years in software engineering, healthcare integration or interoperability
- Strong EHR/EMR integration experience
- JSON, XML, HTTP, REST, SQL & Git
- Experience designing secure and scalable integration architectures
- Robust technical leadership and production troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have:

Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Epic App Orchard, X12/EDI, ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD and HIPAA.

We’re looking for a hands‑on technical leader who can take complex healthcare integration requirements from architecture through production deployment.
