This role requires physical endurance and the ability to work under various outdoor conditions while conducting archaeological field operations. Collaborate with licensed professionals to document finds and contribute to significant cultural heritage projects across Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive archaeological surveys and test pits
• Assist with site excavations for artifact recovery
• Document and report findings accurately
• Follow health and safety guidelines throughout fieldwork
• Build sustainable relationships with Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• Previous experience in physically demanding outdoor work
• Must be willing to travel and stay overnight for assignments
• Hold a valid G driver’s license if necessary
• Work effectively both independently and in teams
• Openness to learning field-specific skills
