The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a part-time (0.85 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Lloyd Garrison School. This position will commence on November 2, 2026 and continue until June 29, 2027. This position includes High German and English programming, the successful candidate will require knowledge of High German and Low German.

Lloyd Garrison School is located in the town of Berwyn, approximately 11 kms from the town of Grimshaw and 40 kms from Peace River. The school serves students from K to 12.

Qualifications
Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.
Ability to work with children with wide-ranging ages, skills level, needs and abilities.
Experience teaching High German
Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent considered an asset

Skills
Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.

Rate of Pay




$23.27 to $28.86 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
