What began as handing out sandwiches in downtown Chilliwack has grown into a multi‑site organization supporting hundreds of individuals each day through shelter, recovery, and community programs.We are a Christian faith‑based organization committed to walking alongside people on a journey of recovery demonstrating the love of Jesus.About the RoleWe are seeking a Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and repair needs across Ruth & Naomi’s Mission facilities.This role plays an important part in keeping our buildings, equipment, and grounds safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. The Facilities Technician completes repairs and preventative maintenance across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, helping ensure our facilities operate smoothly across all locations.This position works closely with the Facilities Lead, alongside the Custodian, and supports coordination with the Facilities & Safety Coordinator across multiple sites.What You’ll DoPerform repairs and routine maintenance across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC within scopeConduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needsPatch, paint, and repair walls, doors, fixtures, and surfaces as requiredComplete assigned work orders using MaintainXRespond to urgent maintenance needs such as plumbing leaks, electrical issues,



and HVAC concernsSupport inventory tracking and flag low maintenance suppliesMentor and support the Custodian on light maintenance tasks where appropriateAssist with event setup, execution, and breakdown across locationsSupport seasonal site needs such as snow or debris removalFollow workplace health and safety requirements and maintenance documentation proceduresWhat You BringDemonstrated experience completing maintenance work across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC)Trades training, certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience (strongly preferred)Experience using MaintainX or similar maintenance work-order systems (an asset)First Aid Level 1 and WHMIS certificationAbility to safely perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbsStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple maintenance priorities across sitesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organization and time‑management skillsWillingness to respect and uphold the mission and values of Ruth & Naomi’s MissionCompensation & Schedule$28.84 – $30.90 per hour (dependent on experience)Full‑time, permanent positionMonday–Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm (additional hours may be required based on operational needs)Travel between Chilliwack sites requiredWhy Join Us?At Ruth & Naomi’s Mission, you’ll be part of a team that plays a critical role in supporting safe and functional environments across our programs each day.
