About the Role Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Senior Process Design Engineer to spearhead the conceptualization and detailed design of innovative chemical processes. Working remotely, you will leverage your extensive experience to lead complex design projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to strategic technological development. This role requires a deep technical understanding and the ability to translate challenging requirements into practical, effective, and safe process solutions. You will be a key technical authority, driving excellence in process design from anywhere, while supporting critical projects for our client's operations, potentially near Kimberley .
Key Responsibilities Lead the development of process design packages, including PFDs, P&IDs;, equipment specifications, and control strategies.
Conduct rigorous process simulations, hazard analyses, and feasibility studies for new and modified processes.
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to process design engineers and other project team members.
Oversee the technical aspects of process design to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, automation) throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure designs are optimized for operability, maintainability,



safety, and economic efficiency, supporting remote collaboration for teams involved with sites near Kimberley .
Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in process design engineering, with a significant portion in a senior or lead role.
Expert knowledge of process design software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and P&ID; development tools.
Proven experience leading design for complex chemical processes, including scale-up and technology transfer.
Deep understanding of process safety principles, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead remotely effectively for projects relevant to Kimberley .
