Herzing College in Ottawa is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Career Services Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be available to begin work immediately. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, and will be based out of our Ottawa campus location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Internships
Network and connect with employers to develop internship opportunities.
Match students to appropriate internships within their fields of study.
Visit internship sites to monitor progress and maintain relationships with host organizations.
Marketing
Develop full time and part-time employment leads for students and graduates.
Provide employment services and support to both employers and graduates.
Prepare job orders, distribute resumes, arrange interviews, and follow up on job leads.
Student Services
Assist students and graduates in identifying suitable employment opportunities and provide guidance on job search techniques.
Follow up with graduates to monitor progress and offer ongoing support as they seek employment.
Offer individualized assistance with resume development to ensure graduates present their skills effectively.
Provide training on interviewing techniques to build student confidence and professionalism.




Facilitate workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions on job search strategies, including leveraging networking and online platforms.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Relevant work experience, preferably in a career services or educational setting.
Post-secondary education (degree/diploma).
1-2 years of business experience, ideally in a customer service-focused role.
