Take on a key role in Halifax as a Boiler Inspector focused on regulatory compliance and safety enforcement. Work independently to ensure adherence to boiler and pressure equipment standards.
As a Boiler Inspector, you will be responsible for enforcing regulations to protect public and worker safety. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, offering technical direction, and engaging with various stakeholders regarding compliance with ASME and CSA codes. Under the supervision of the Chief Inspector, you will play a vital role in accident investigation and qualification of pressure welders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce Boiler and Pressure Equipment Regulations
• Review technical designs and compliance documentation
• Prepare status reports and regulatory correspondence
• Engage in quality control assessment of manufacturing facilities
• Assist in developing ASME and CSA codes and standards
Requirements:
• High school education with related technical training
• At least 7 years of experience in a relevant field
• Deep knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel standards
• Solid communication and analytical abilities
• Willingness to obtain necessary certifications
